In partnership with our National PHCC Education Foundation, Gulf Coast PHCC is excited to to offer online training in Plumbing and HVACR via the PHCC Academy!

All PHCC Academy courses are offered through a professional, education-focused, web-based Learning Management System (LMS) that is easy to access and use. The comprehensive curriculum is designed by contractors, for contractors, and course offerings ensure aspiring professionals in Plumbing and HVACR can access quality training from the comfort of their own space and pace.

PHCC ACADEMY PLUMBING COURSES


Workforce Readiness Course: This free course gives prospective plumbing and HVACR industry workers and opportunity to learn more about the trade before choosing a career path. This course offers an introduction to the trades, soft skills, basic math, tools, safety, and an introduction to construction drawings for both plumbing and HVACR.


Pre-Apprentice Course: This introductory course is designed to help students diversify their skillset as helpers, and prepare for success in a suitable training program. Offering a more in-depth introduction into principles, soft skills, safety, science, math, plumbing systems, and gas and gas fixtures, this course is designed for entry-level technicians interested in continuing on their career path.


Fast Track to Service and Repair: This course is designed for students that do not need training beyond service and repair, and is intended to train technicians to be job-ready and well-rounded with a good understanding of Plumbing systems. Designed by contractors for contractors, this comprehensive entry-level training is for employees who do residential or commercial service and repair work.


Online Apprenticeship Program: Embrace the future of education with the PHCC Texas Academy’s comprehensive 4-year apprenticeship program, designed for those who seek a non-traditional approach to receiving their classroom instruction. These programs are recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and each course is the equivalent of one year of classroom instruction, approved for 156 hours of related technical instruction (RTI).
